Daniel Brühl will reprise his role in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” and though it is unclear how he’ll factor into the plot, it’s safe to bet that he’s broken out of captivity and will be eager to exact his revenge on the series’ titular protagonists. The antagonistic Helmut Zemo, who lost his family in the the climatic finale of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” orchestrated the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” but was imprisoned at the end of that film. It seems that Bucky will be confronting adversaries both old and new, as a scene in the series’ Super Bowl spot shows the Winter Soldier pointing a gun at Helmut Zemo, the villain who manipulated Bucky in “Captain America: Civil War.” ![]() Now, the hero is finally entering the spotlight as the Falcon’s partner in the upcoming Disney+ series.
